History

You can enjoy the treats that made Barrigas the largest chain of Mexican food restaurants south of the border right here in El Paso! The meals are so authentic you’ll imagine yourself dining among family and friends at the great table of a fine old Mexican hacienda.
Whether you’re dining for breakfast, lunch or dinner, Barrigas brings the true flavors of Mexico to your table. The selection is large, with appetizers that include signature cocktails made with shrimp, crab, octopus or any combination. The soups and salads include salpicón, an El Paso favorite: shredded spiced beef mixed with diced onions, avocado, cheese, jalapeños, garlic, tomatoes, and cilantro, and served with tostadas or steamed tortillas. One of the house specialties is mole, which at Barrigas is not oppressively sweet, but very well balanced and scrumptious. There’s a kid’s menu for the tykes - this is definitely a family-friendly restaurant.
At Barrigas, you’ll always find excellent food in a delightful and friendly atmosphere.
